You don’t actually have to pay high prices to luxury restaurants to have a stylish meal on your special days or any day you want to make it special, you can create a magnificent menu with fresh, healthy and stylish recipes at more affordable prices in your home environment.
1. Melty onion toasts
Onions are the healthiest and least expensive ingredient of all time. So, this toast with molten onions will be both stylish and fun!
Ingredients
50g butter
6 onions , sliced
2 tsp golden caster sugar
splash of brandy (optional)
6 slices sourdough bread
300g mature cheddar , sliced
watercress and your favourite dressing, to serve.
How to make:
First, before you start making the recipe, heat the butter in a sauté pan, then add the onions and sprinkle with sugar. While that, heat the onions up to 20 mins to make them juicy.after the onions leave the water add briendi to the pan and also add seasoning. When you done with pan, heat the oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas 6.
Prepare the toast using the bread you like, put the onions over, then top with slices of cheese. The toasts can be made up in 1 hour top so its easy and chic!

2. Charred leeks with anchovy dressing

Ingredients
400g leeks, trimmed
1 garlic clove, roughly chopped
6 anchovies, in oil
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 lemon, juiced
2 egg yolks
130ml rapeseed oil
1 tbsp parmesan, finely grated
50g hazelnuts, toasted and chopped
How to make:
Heat the grill with oil and boil a water in the pan with add pinch of salt in it. But before that you must wash the leeks, and remove the outer layers and add to the pan.It will cook till 2 min after that, transfer them into a col water with ice bowl so in this way you will mak them stop cooking and the nutricient will stay inside of the food.
Later that, put on a baking tray, cut-side down, rub over 2 tbsp of the oil and season and blitz the garlic and the anchovies. To make things in the process check everything and then add the mustard, 2 tbsp lemon juice, the egg yolks and some seasoning, then gradually add the rest of the oil.

3. Turnip tartiflette
French elegancy and affordable ingredients will create an incredible chic dinner for you!
Ingredients
750g turnips , peeled and sliced
20g butter , plus extra for greasing
1 large onion , sliced
200g smoked bacon lardons
1 tsp thyme leaves, chopped
200ml crème fraîche
240g Reblochon , rind and all, chopped into chunks
How to make:
First things first you must heat the oven before prepare the ingredients. Heat oven to 220C/200C fan/gas 7. In this way you can prepare them while oven heating itself! Then, take a pan of salted water to the boil, add the turnips and cook for 6 mins until just tender, then drain.
After that, melt the butter in the pan to fry the onions for 5 mins and add the bacons and also fry them for 8 mins. When you take them out, take a ovenware you like and start with tulips, then spoon over half each of the onion mixture, crème fraîche and cheese. Repeat it until the ovenware filled then, Bake in the oven for 25 mins.

4. Artichoke and freekah salad
This wonderful, ancient dish will serve up a lovely warm appetizer for your special occasions!
Ingredients
300g freekah , flaked
250g artichokes in water , quartered
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp flat-leaf parsley leaves, chopped. or 1 tsp tarragon leaves, chopped. or 1/2 tsp each of the above mixed with parsley and thyme, chopped. (you can also use all thyme)
Salt & pepper to taste: 1/4 tsp salt + 1/8 tsp pepper (about 2 pinches each) per 100g of freekah in my case.
How to make:
First things first, before you start the recipe, put a sauce down for your freekah. Take a pan and let it warm up then add the freekah and stir in salt and pepper. When it becomes hot, add water to let it cook till soft. Before you start with the rest make sure that your artichokes are cooked! For that take a pan of salted water and drop them in there , they should be cooked within 15 mins. Then, drain them and put on a plate until cool enough to touch.
When artichokes are cooled, remove the leaves and choke, then slice them thinly. Add them to a bowl with the freekah, lemon juice and herbs. Season to taste and mix everything together.

Butternut squash velouté
This dish is the sumptuous of healthy low priced food that can be served for a special occasion!
Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil, plus extra for drizzling and greasing
250g butternut squash , cubed (about 500g prepared weight)
6 spring onions , chopped into 2cm sections, white and green parts separated
2 garlic cloves , finely chopped. or 1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp soy sauce
200ml double cream, plus extra for drizzling and serving. or cream made from cashew nuts (optional)
How to make:
First things first, in this case prepare a sauce before you start the recipe. Take a pan and let it warm up then add oil and gently fry the onion for about 5 mins, until soft. Then add the garlic and soy sauce and cook for a moment more. Next , add the squash cubes and cook for 2 mins until golden. Next, add the cream and season with salt and pepper .

Creamy dill sauce
Filling & tasty sauce to pair with grilled cheese and even pasta!
Ingredients:
1 cup heavy cream, preferably full fat, chilled. or 1 cup cashew cream (see note)
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp chopped fresh dill
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
freshly ground juice of 2 lemons (few drops), optional
How to make:
First things first, prepare a sauce before you start the recipe. Take a pan and let it warm up then add all ingredients except the lemon juice. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Add the lemon juice and, if you want, refrigerate your sauce until cold.
